Know God
The Big Question?
When we look around us in the world today it seems like the world is not perfect. We all sense that there is something missing in our lives. This brings us to some of the biggest questions to ask in our lives. Questions like: “Why are we here?”, “Who is God, “Where is God?”, “Does God love me”, “What is the purpose for my life” and “What is missing in my life?”.
Well, I am glad that you asked that, because there is an answer to our toughest questions and the answer and the solution is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the answer to whatever our questions, concerns or circumstances may be. God is not mad at you, but He is madly in love with you and Jesus is not some distant figure, but He is close to us, for God is Love. Jesus loves you!
1.) Seeing Jesus as He really is:
John 3:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jesus came to cleanse us from all our sins just like an eraser will erase any writing in pencil on a paper. In the same way the Blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse us from all our sins. God is Love. He loves you with an everlasting, unconditional Love. God so loved you that He sent His only Son to die for all your sins.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23 New King James Version (NKJV) “We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God”.
God sent His Son Jesus to pay for our sin on the Cross of Calvary.
God is faithful, gracious, merciful, and full of love. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour of the world. Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Your engagement with God is a not a religion, but a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Jesus loves you so much, that He died on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for all your sins. He was crucified, dead and buried in the tomb, but on the third day He was risen from the dead and Jesus is alive.
2.) What about your relationship with the Lord:
Romans 10:13 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Your relationship with God is the most important thing in your life. Do not let anything come in the way of your relationship with the Lord. Some things come and interfere and contaminate and spoil the relationship. We fail to surrender all the areas of our life to Jesus. We keep Him out. Sin, disappointments or setbacks can cause us to move away from God.
Our lives are like a house with many rooms. We can’t keep some rooms to ourselves and keep God out of them. Some rooms are our sin rooms. Other rooms are our disappointments rooms and some rooms have a “No Entry” sign and we hide it from God. Some rooms are our “dark rooms” and there our “negatives” are developed. These rooms represent all the different areas of our life and we need Jesus Christ to have all the rooms and come and live in our entire house altogheter.
We need to surrender all the rooms to Him and surrender all areas of our lives to Him so that He can be Lord of all, other otherwise He can’t be Lord at all.
If you feel far from God, guess who moved! “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8) NKJV.
3.) Making the biggest decision in your life.
Matthew 10:32 New King James Version (NKJV) Confess Christ Before Men
32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven”.
If you believe this message is for you and you want to surrender and give your life to Jesus Christ today and make Him your Lord and Saviour, then please pray the following prayer and commitment:
The Prayer:
“Heavenly Father, I come to you today in the name of Jesus Christ. I have heard from the Bible that You loved me so much that you have given me Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross to pay for all my sins according to John 3:16. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for all my sins, He was dead and buried, but on the third day He was risen from the dead and Jesus is alive. I ask you now to become my Lord and Saviour. I give you my heart, spirit, soul and body and I choose to follow you all the days of my life. I believe that I am now a born again Christian and I believe that I am saved, Thank you for saving me, in Jesus name AMEN!”
If you have prayed this prayer for the first time or perhaps you have prayed this prayer again to recommit your life to Jesus Christ, either way the Good news is that the Bible says that you are now saved and that you are now a born-again Christian. You are now a child of the most high God and He knows you by name. Praise the Lord!
